STIT Muhammadiyah Tanjung Redeb in Collaboration With 5 Universities in East Kalimantan Conducted an International Seminar MISELT 2

The 2nd Mahakam International Seminar in English Language Teaching (MISELT), themed “Empowering Inclusive Education in ELT through Technology: Bridging Gaps and Fostering Equity,” will be held online on December 18-19, 2024. This highly anticipated event will gather distinguished experts, speakers, and moderators to explore innovative approaches to integrating technology in ELT to promote inclusivity and equity.

The 2nd Mahakam International Seminar in English Language Teaching (MISELT), themed “Empowering Inclusive Education in ELT through Technology: Bridging Gaps and Fostering Equity,” will be held online on December 18-19, 2024. This highly anticipated event will gather distinguished experts, speakers, and moderators to explore innovative approaches to integrating technology in ELT to promote inclusivity and equity.


Day 1: December 18, 2024

Day 1 will open with a keynote address by Dr. Melanie Gobert from the Regional English Language Office (RELO), who will share insights into how technology can bridge educational gaps and enhance inclusivity in English Language Teaching. This session sets the stage for meaningful discussions and reflections on global challenges in ELT.

The day’s presentations will include expert contributions from Yuli Puji Astutik, M.Pd, and Fira Maghfiran, among other esteemed speakers, who will highlight innovative strategies for applying technology to create inclusive learning environments. These discussions will be moderated by professionals, including Muhammad Rizky Satria Abimanyu, who will facilitate engaging interactions between the audience and the panelists. The first day will conclude with a collaborative session designed to foster dialogue and exchange best practices among participants.

Day 2: December 19, 2024

The second day will feature keynote addresses from Dr. Ju Seong Lee and Buyung Alfian Noris Sudrajat, M.Phil, representing the British Council. Their sessions will focus on global policies and practices that support equitable access to technology in education, providing valuable insights into fostering inclusive learning environments worldwide.

The presentations on Day 2 will also include contributions from speakers such as Aisyah Fitriani and Nur Cahyani Khalil, S.Pd, M.Pd, who will share practical applications of inclusive ELT strategies. Moderators, including Nur Heni, will guide discussions and facilitate meaningful engagement between the audience and the panelists. The event will close with a summary of key takeaways, ensuring participants leave equipped with actionable strategies to apply in their teaching practices.
